Dragonberry Branding

My roles in the following project were that of an Art Director, Illustrator, Graphic Designer, and Production Designer—I worked this project from inception to production.

The goal of this project was to pick up previous collateral art created for a brand, merge that with the style used for a recent bottle label, and create a synthesis of the two design styles to brand a "fashion line" of produce offerings.

I attended a meeting with the client and took extremely diligent notes. This served two purposes—accurately capturing the nuances of their request, but also demonstrating our ability to actively listen.

From there, I literally went to the drawing board—I sketched some of the produce in question, pulled together inspirational imagery of some of the locales from which the produce originated. I created thumbnail illustrations for one concept, and developed two different concepts for the ask.

I made a bespoke presentation deck that echoed the client’s brand aesthetic, presented the concepts to the client, then undertook the revision process before finalizing the art and developing the backsides.

That complete, I created mechanicals for use in printing for the cards. We'd later revisit this project and develop more cards based off of the decisions I made in this round.
