ADIDAS TERREX

Retail, Graphic, and 3D Design

This project was concept exploration on behalf of adidas for use in the DSG Colab space. I developed two different concepts using graphics and fixtures that I also designed.

A semi-transparent plinth was placed in the center of the space with a local hike guide booklet placed prominently on top.

The existing retail tables were clad with five-sides printed boxes to further enhance the illusion of leaving a retail space. I proposed a printed gabion wall cover to the existing table fixtures and pillar. Fake wood frames would line shelves above to further transform the space.

The space utilized two shoe displays designed to resemble terrarium,—one each to convey the wet and arid conditions Terrex excels in. The tech info and and raindrop artwork printed second surface to a clear substrate made to resemble a terrarium.

I designed the floor in such a way to suggest the transition from lush scenery to desert (best seen in the bird’s eye render).

My favorite element was the Loony Tunes inspired crossroads wayfinding sigange. I’ve seen these on real life hikes in the Columbia Gorge… and they were just too good to pass up.
