Pandemic Response
In addition to switching gears from typical retail design work during the retail, I also contributed to the pandemic response in other ways. In the early days of the pandemic, I submitted suggestions for ways in which my employer could transition to letting employees work remotely while protecting the staff that had to remain on site.
I made suggestions on how we could mitigate the mask shortage by creating simple PETG face shields to protect first responders and healthcare workers. I drew up concepts for our clients regarding signing their stores and creating fixtures that could later be repurposed after the pandemic.
Given my communications with the CEO and GM on this matter, I was added to a small group called the Pandemic Response Team, which delved into spacing out work stations, adding signage to the facilities, developing protocols, and handing guidance to upper management.
