Graphic and Prop Design
The VP of Amazon Web Services needed two physical props for use in videos to make April Fool’s Day social media content.
One prop was be a chips bag—a visual pun showcasing AWS’s Graviton chip in the style of a bag of Doritos chips.
I presented multiple concepts that blended with Amazon’s brand and used their proprietary fonts (the Ember family).
The client picked their favorite selections. I gathered crucial information regarding size, live area, and templates. I then went to work and output press-ready files for two different external vendors to manufacture.
The art direction I provided was then picked up by an internal AWS designer and developed into additional props as the video expanded.
The AWS “Chips” Taste Test would ultimately compare the taste of “Golden Nacho Cheese,” “Al Chili Lime,” “BBQ Training Wheels”, and “Ranch Fusion” with the AWS Graviton, AWS Inferentia, AWS Trainium, and AWS Nitro Security Chips.
The other was toy car package akin to Hot Wheels presenting their AWS DeepRacer Fully autonomous 1/18 scale race car.
